Spirit is the life, Mind is the builder, and the Physical is the result
Spiritual
Prayer and meditation! Use whatever form of prayer you are accustomed to. To learn basic meditation or breathe meditation, ask for a handout from the doctor. Prayer/meditation should be daily, even if only 5 minutes at first. BE PERSISTENT AND CONSISTENT! Remember that all healing comes from the One, Eternal Source: The Almighty God! Put your trust in Him, knowing that if you TRULY and SINCERELY seek Him, He will reveal Himself to you and provide you with the resources you need to be totally healed and whole. Recognize that your dis-ease is an OPPORTUNITY to be touched by God and for the soul to learn some valuable lesson.
Mental
Correct any negative or fruitless attitudes, like anger, hate, resentment, vengeance, or complaining. They are DESTRUCTIVE to your health! Instead, be positive! Dwell on the fruits of the spirit, like faith, hope, love, kindness, gentleness, patience, and long-suffering. Let your thoughts be always on that which is CONSTRUCTIVE AND CREATIVE, to the Glory of God, and in service to your fellow man. Keep the mental attitude that of a USEFUL and PURPOSELFUL life, using your abilities to help others.
Physical
Diet is THE KEY to the health of the physical body. Diet must be alkaline reacting! General diet guidelines are along the left of the page.
Exercise: Any form of exercise which you enjoy is just fine. Any sport you enjoy is great. Swimming/pool therapy, walking, or bicycling (outdoors or on a stationary bike) would be excellent. Do not overwork yourself! It should be a very enjoyable and relaxing part of your day. Exercise should be done at the same time each day in order to build a habit and routine, (if possible). Start with three times per week, at least 10 minutes each time, and work your way up to at least 5 days per week, 30 minutes per day. Even a 10 minute evening walk is infinitely better than nothing!!
Osteopathic or Chiropractic manipulation, once per week for at least 4-6 sessions, then once per month for maintenance. After the first month, further therapy should be guided by the results obtained, as judged by the therapist. A massage may be preferable if manipulation is not available. Or you can even use an electrical vibrating massager all along the spine on both sides, from the base of the occiput all the way down to the coccyx. These physical treatments will optimize the arterial, venous, lymphatic, immune, and nervous circulation to the entire body.
