It absolutely revolutionized the way I see my role as a husband and father. It is Christian based, and his insights to family living are phenomenal. With his very in-your-face approach, he is honest about the situation and tells us what we men need to do to make it better. A definite MUST READ for ALL men in serious relationships, especially contemplating marriage or already married, young and old alike. This book is a marriage saver!
- Shepharding a Child’s Heart by Tedd Tripp click here to order from amazon.com. This book transforms your whole perspective on child rearing. A wonderful read; he keeps you laughing and interested throughout. Also Bible-based, Mr. Tripp gives a detailed approach to Child Rearing, combining biblical wisdom with his own experience. The result: a love filled relationship with your children, rich with communication, understanding, and patience. He does recommend “the rod,” but his directions are very specific, filled with great love, and his emphasis to never use the rod when angry is really on point. For those who are angry who yell and scream at their children, there is absolutely no place for the use of the rod. Only when we can patiently love and understand our children with rich communication will our children begin to look up to us and respect us as parents. At that point, by following the very specific directions that Tedd gives us, may we approach the discipline of the rod, with great love.
