“A Search for God” Summary: Chapter 1- Cooperation Introduction
Affirmation:
Not my will, O Lord, but Your will be done in me and through me. Let me ever be a channel of blessings, today, now, to all those that I contact in every way. Let my meditation be consistent with the way you want me to live my life ((let my going in, my coming out, be in accord with that thou would have me do)); and as You call me I will answer, “Here I am, Lord; send me and use me.”
Introduction
- Cooperation in the physical world means to work together with others. In the Spiritual sense, it is much more. It is: not thinking about yourself and then becoming a channel so that blessings can flow through you to other people. The blessing is cooperation in action. In both the Spiritual and in the physical world, there must be Action to make cooperation actually work. So when people get together and try to cooperate to achieve one goal, they must actually do some kind of physical work if they want to reach the goal.
- The best things in life are yours through harmony and cooperation, not by putting others down. You will find the law of cooperation in every successful organization. By studying any part of nature, it is very clear that everything was created with unity, order, and harmony. All of nature follows the same law. Every single part of the human body does its job without thinking about the other parts, but in reality each part is totally dependent upon the rest of the body.
- When you are committed to living your life by the highest standards that you can think of, then cooperation comes naturally. Cooperation happens naturally when you are serving others, when you are sacrificing your self for others, and when you are completely surrounded and filled with the Spirit of God.
- Whenever we see another person, let us be willing to meet them in whatever state of mind they have. Then, let us live our faith, let us look upward, and let us lift them up. That is cooperation
