I love music.
Music is like my soul- sometimes I feel like the cells of my body are MADE of music!
[Well, we know that energy and mass are interchangeable (e=mc²), and all energy and mass is made of vibrations. Faster vibrations form light, and if you slow down the vibrations enough, you get sound. The electrons that swarm at light speed around the nucleus of our molecules.
When energy becomes matter, one type of vibration turns into another.]
SO! What I’m trying to say is… Maybe I really AM made of music!
Anyways…
Many people ask me how I learned to play the piano. Well, I learned from a friend, and also by a simple book for adults.
At the end of the day, if you really love something, DO IT! Don’t make the excuse of “I can’t,” or “I don’t have time.” Just DO IT! Find a way! Ask a question, google it, buy a book, read a book, take a lesson, ask a friend. Truly, Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
Well, if you want to learn to play the keyboard (or piano), you can buy a book of this series from amazon.com.
It is great- it teaches you in a clear, simple, step by step fashion, breeding confidence and enjoyment from the beginning.
You know, sometimes we think too far ahead, and it becomes so far out of reach and such a long journey, that we don’t even get started!
Instead, do what you Love! Follow your Joy! And enjoy the PROCESS, the JOURNEY!
There is no gold at the end of the rainbow! The gold is NOW!
If you want to learn the flute, or write stories, or learn to play the guitar, don’t get started thinking that you want to make professional CD’s and play in the LA Philharmonic! Don’t start saying you want to write a series of 30 novels!
Instead, just write! Play! Enjoy the process of creation, and follow your joy! When you do that, the pressure is off, and you can ENJOY- Abide IN-Joy- as you manifest the beauty of creation in your body, mind, and spirit.
It may lead to you writing a poem, a short story, a novel, a play, or a movie script!
Or it may lead you to entertaining children with your developing story telling skills, sitting around a fire cooking hot dogs and marshmallows, supplying both wisdom and joy at the same time!
Your guitar may lead you to writing your own songs, playing at church, finding out that you have quite a singing voice, playing in a band, or becoming a rock star!
Or it may lead to you playing songs for friends and family, and at a local coffee shop where city neighbors gather to hear the rarity of live music.
By not planning so far ahead, and enjoying the process of learning something new, we can live in the excitement and infinite potential of this moment.
(One of the 7 Spiritual Laws of Success is the law of Infinite Potentiality!)
Don’t delay another moment! Do this NOW:
1. Write down ten things you wish you could do.
2. PICK ONE!
3. Take massive action! What’s one thing you can do RIGHT NOW to gain some momentum? Buy an instrument off of craigslist? Buy a “How To” book off of amazon? Call a mentor and make an appointment for a one-on-one lesson with him/her? Write a story outline in your new journal?
(This book changed my life, in my creative journey!)
Do something that will give you momentum, one big step forward.
Always remember, the hardest part of every journey is the first step.
With great Love,
Dr. Moses.
